Farm Camp with WWOOF

WWOOF was my first farming experience ever. I decided to join this farm camp because I wanted to learn how to plant my own fruits and vegetables. I also wanted to learn how much work having a farm consisted of.

The past few years of my life I have decided to make a change in the way I eat. I noticed that what I ate affected how I felt and how I looked (e.g., pimples). Yes, gross but food affects our bodies in ways unknown. I began watching many videos and documentaries on how "food" in America is made and all the lies that were being fed to Americans.

Everyone wonders: Why do we get cancer? Why do I get pimples? Why does my stomach hurt? Why do I feel so tired? I've learned that it ALL comes from the way you eat. The more natural the better. Our bodies were not built to take in all the chemicals put into food-like products or pesticides sprayed on foods. Our bodies react to these chemicals by growing cancer; it is NOT NATURAL! The magic is done from the inside out.

Therefore, I wanted myself as well as my family to learn how to get the most natural nutrients possible. Being on the farm made me realize the tough work maintaining a farm is.

My group made a compost system while other groups built a bathroom, made a dam, and planted vegetables.

We ate organic foods...yummy! My favorite was the bibimbap!

Morning meditation and stretching
Fresh eggs being picked

My favorite part of the farm camp was getting to meet people from all around the world and learning their experience with organic farming and foods! Go 6 Chicks!

I highly recommend this experience for those who are interested in organic farming or even those looking for a way to get out of the city, get some fresh air and see some stars! I look forward to more farming experiences in the near future!

Annndddd remember: "You are what you eat!"
